About Me

I've lived in Brighton since I was sixteen. Now, an Integrative Therapist based in the city, I bring my life experiences, over 25 years of experience helping people navigate life's complex transitions and challenges, and 15 years as a therapist.

I hold a BA in Psychology and Management Studies and an MSc in Addiction Studies from Sussex University. I obtained a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2014 and am a Registered Member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

Before discovering my calling in therapeutic work, I was a chef, experienced unemployment, co-founded, ran and toured an immersive ambient installation and worked in festival production. I've also worked internationally as a facilitator using VR technology in training and recruitment, and served as a part-time lecturer at Brighton University. I have worked in the drug and alcohol sector since 1999 and continue to do so.

I truly think that this background has brought a valued perspective to my therapeutic practice, deepening my understanding of diversity and inclusion, trauma-informed care, and that given the right circumstances, behavioural change and empowerment are real.

On a more personal level, my experience of identifying as neurodiverse and of being mixed heritage and navigating self, group and cultural identity has reinforced my belief that our greatest challenges often become our greatest strengths when properly understood and supported.

Beyond the Therapy Room

When not working with clients, I can often be found making music, writing, or exploring creative projects that blur the boundaries between art, psychology, and human connection. I maintain that creativity and healing are deeply connected, and that understanding one often illuminates the other.

I hope this gives some outline to myself, that I bring both professional expertise and genuine humanity to my work. I know that seeking therapy takes courage, and I'm committed to creating a space where you can explore, grow, and discover your own path forward with both safety and authenticity.
